Who would be the best artist to work with on my project?

Check out the portfolio galleries on the front page of this website! (Insta handles are also posted there) Each artist has a unique style, so spend some time looking at their work! Any artist on our crew is fully capable of turning your idea into a great design. It is up to you to decide who you want to work with and whose style appeals to you.

How do I get the process started?

The process can vary depending on the demands of the project. In most cases, an artist will schedule a consultation either in-person or over the phone. A deposit will generally be taken at the conclusion of this appointment to begin the design process. In some cases, project details can be worked out over email or messaging.

What is the deposit policy?

Deposits are generally collected at the beginning of the design process. Once a design is finalized, an appointment will be scheduled and the deposit will hold that spot for that project. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, but can be rescheduled if the artist is contacted no later than 24 hours before the original appointment date.

How much are deposits?

Drawing and Appointment deposits generally cover the first hour of work. Hourly rates vary depending on which artist you're working with but generally fall between $100.00 and $150.00

Do you take walk-ins?

Scheduled appointments take priority, but we accept walk-in clients whenever possible. The best way to get a same-day appointment is to call the shop early in the day to see where we have room on the schedule for the day and who is available: 503-894-9481

Who can get tattooed?

In the state of Oregon, clients must be at least 18 years old with valid, government issued, photo identification. Some examples of acceptable ID would be: DMV issued forms of ID, a passport, or military ID.

Are there any designs that you won't tattoo?

All artists  have the right to refuse any project or client that they're uncomfortable with. Artists at our studio will decline projects that include hate symbols or discriminatory language. However, we are not here to decide what is cool or not. All reasonable requests will be honored.

Aftercare/How Do I care for the new tattoo?

Our artists primarily use SaniDerm or equivalent bandaging for your fresh tattoo. Please follow your artists aftercare instructions carefully.

The Saniderm should remain on the fresh work for 5 days after initial application.

Small pockets of liquid under the bandage at this time are completely normal.

When 5 days have passed, thoroughly wash your hands with an antibacterial soap and warm water, then carefully peel off the bandage and dispose of it.

Build up a lather of soap and water and use the pads of your fingers to gently clean the surface of the healing tattoo. Rinse and let it dry completely.

Signs of drying will occur within the first several hours of removing your bandage. At this point, it becomes appropriate to sparingly use a plain, fragrance-free, white-lotion or alternative aftercare product to moisturize and mature the fresh skin of your new tattoo. This will alleviate any tightness or itching during the healing process. Lotion should be applied 3-4x per day for 3-4 weeks, or until the tattoo is completely healed.

If you are not sure about anything during this process, please contact your artist for advice. We would rather answer a silly question than have you worry needlessly.
